“What I would hope you to get out of this class is to see how these ideas are reflected in your own lives. We all know how much easier it is to pick out other peoples’ faults than to pick out our own. Similarly, it’s also easier to see social situations from a 3rd personal perspective, so we’ll start from that vantage point, with movies. Movies entertain us, but they also offer us a detailed portrayal of human social interactions.
Your assignment is to analyze, from a social psychological perspective, the behaviors and events depicted in one of the films listed below. Each of these films depicts many of the topic we cover in this course. You will find this many in each of the films listed below; however, your task for this project is to identify 3 of them and explain them in detail in terms of the readings, discussions and relevant research presented in class and your text. Cite specific incidents in the film and explain how they illustrate the topics. See the attached example for reference. There is no page requirement, but. I do want to see that you have put some serious thought into analyzing what you see, and to demonstrate your knowledge of the subject matter. Also, make sure you submit your essays in APA format.
Select a movie you have not yet watched. View it at least twice.vthe first viewing, just enjoy the film. On the second viewing, take notes about the various social interactions and pressures that you witness. Then, select three main social psychology concepts and talk about how these relate to what you are learning about them. Include citations and references, in APA format, for claims that you make.
