Part B: Rooms division
For a hotel, the first impression is of enormous importance. The cleaning activities play an important role in this first impression. The Rooms division department is responsible for the quality and cleanliness of the hotel rooms and public areas. To organize all cleaning activities well a good cleaning plan is required.
Part B1: company description (400 words)
Introduction of the hotel, including the type of hotel, the facilities, products, and services the hotel offers.
Part B2: Hotel classification (400 words)
Describe the classification of the hotel according to the local applicable hotel classification system. When not possible apply another international classification system to the module assignment hotel. Hotels can also be classified according to other classification systems, integrate these options as well in this part of the assignment.
Part B3: Cleaning plan (800 words)
Explain which existing facilities (B1) will be cleaned by the Housekeeping department. Develop a well-considered cleaning plan, with performance and productivity standards, frequency of cleaning ( including periodical cleaning activities), how facilities are cleaned, and which resources are needed.
Part B4: sustainability (400 words)
Explain how previous sub-chapters are related to the three levels of sustainability (Cavagnaro & Curiel, 2012).
